Good Trouble Lives On

50501 DC

This July 17th, we will march, not for what this country claims to be, but for what it can and must become.

We will honor the legacy of Congressman John Lewis, who showed us that freedom is never handed to those who remain silent, but it is won through direct, peaceful acts of good trouble. We will march side by side because civil rights are under attack, because executive overreach is choking the lives and futures of our communities, especially those already pushed to the margins. We will march because silence is no longer an option.

This is how we win: by showing up for each other, standing together in the streets, and moving in solidarity toward justice.

Bring your loved ones. Bring your courage. Stand with us as we show the world that the fight for justice did not end with John Lewis, it lives on through us. Get ready to make Good Trouble.

Event Program

We will be joined by a coalition of speakers including Rep. Al Green (US Representative), Rev. Thomas Bowen (Shiloh Baptist Church), and Demetria McCain (NAACP LDF), and musicians including Freedom Futures Collective and the DC Labor Chorus. The rally will begin at 5:30pm at Franklin Park, followed by a march through downtown DC at approximately 7:00–7:30 PM through Black Lives Matter Plaza, ending at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.
