On 5 April the people came together to says Hands Off! In DC, over 100k people showed up at the Washington Monument to tell the current administration that we don’t support the illegal spending cuts and federal employee terminations.
On 19 April the people of DC gathered at Franklin Park and donated food and essentials for the community, in particular those who have lost their livelihoods and those in need.
On 1 May, historically known as May Day, the people of DC stood in solidarity to honor their fellow workers and their unions. The events of the day culminated in a rally and march at Freedom Plaza, with a resounding message of the strength of working people amid turbulent times.
